Izmir Andnan Menderes International Airport

Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport is accessible via airlines from all over the world, and especially in the summer months with the addition of charter flights.

Once at Izmir Airport, there are three main options.

OPTION 1

We can arrange return transfers to the airport in comfort, at a very reasonable return cost of 130 Euros.  This has to be pre-arranged.

OPTION 2

Take a taxi direct to Cesme/ Alacati/ Ilica or wherever you are going to be based.  As of 2008 the taxi charge is 145 YTL, which I believe to be in the region of 70 - 75 EUROS.

OPTION 3

Take a taxi to Uckuyular (sounds like oochcooler in English) bus station this cost between 35 and 40 YTL, not the 50 or 60 YTL the touts try to ask you for before you enter the taxi.  An important point to keep in mind is that all taxis in Turkey are metered by law.  Once at the bus station, the Cesme buses are very regular, and stop at Alacati, Ilica and Cesme.  The bus costs 9 YTL in each direction, and takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour.  This is my prefered option if I am not in a rush.
